Car & Driver

I think it was Car & Driver Magazine that Matilda was reading in the waiting room. This time it was for her Daddy to see the doctor. Matilda's doctor does not offer Car & Driver.

Mommy day

Matilda spends her day as I usually do: cooking, strolling, or driving.

Elmo

Matilda says Sssss for Sesame Street and Momo for Elmo.

Shoe box

Matilda wears the box as a shoe, therefore, it's a shoe box.

Belly button

Mati likes to point to her belly button. Matt told her that her blankie also has a belly button. So, after she shows hers, I show mine (no photo), Mati then points to her blankie's belly button.

Beach day

Matilda loves playing in the sand. Although a bit cool and foggy, we enjoyed a day at the beach in February. Can you see the Golden Gate Bridge through the fog?

New hat

Seconds after getting a new hat in the mail from Grandma, it's on Matilda's head. Notice the tag is still on it as it went straight from the box to Mati. We mentioned that it looks like Cookie Monster and she grabbed him for the picture. Matilda also just received her first sucker from the bank teller and was sharing it with Cookie.

Cold milk

Matilda now drinks cold milk in the morning instead of nursing. She also feeds her blankie milk from her special straw cup.

Daddy and Mati

Matt shows Matilda how to make a funny noise by blowing on his arm. Matilda thinks it is the funniest thing ever.

Toothbrush

Matilda brushes her teeth while wandering around the apartment. She still fits in her Halloween pajamas.

More hearts

Matilda still loves sitting in her rocking chair. Although much bigger, she still fits.

Post bath

Knock, knock

Matilda likes to knock on things (doors, tables, chairs, spoons, cups) and say, "knock, knock."

All pink

Polka dots and stripes.

Presidio

While at the Presidio (see below), we stopped at Starbucks where Matilda was so happy to have her own drink--a child size cup of milk with a straw. After spitting up the first big gulp, she did a great job.

Climbing

Matilda enjoyed climbing on the rocks at the Presidio. She tried to write in the dirt again (see below) but the writing utensil she chose (a tiny leaf) wasn't working as well as a stick.

Caveman

While out on a walk, Matilda finds a stick and begins to draw in the dirt. It seemed like she was channeling her inner caveman.

Wheels on the bus

Matilda is so excited to drive the bus.

Drum

During music class, Matilda likes to play the drum. Notice that Mati's hands are still on the drum and her head is a blur.

Two hands

If necessary, Matilda can put all her fingers in her mouth.

18 months old

One and a half and still fits in the kitchen sink with her rubber duckies. One year later and she still likes bathing with her feet up.

Dinosaur

Dinosaur smiles.

New shoes

Matilda wore her new shoes all day long. She also has a new hat.
