Matilda was very good on her first plane ride.  Ziploc bags are a great thing.

Holidays in Michigan

New pictures are on hiatus while we spend the next two weeks here in sunny, warm Michigan.  Besides, everyone who follows the blog is playing with Mati in person!

Father daughter

This was taken at our pediatrician's office. We seem to take lots of photos while waiting for the doctor.

One more week

Matilda is very excited that Christmas is just one week away.

Although it looks like a sad face, we actually caught Mati in a sneeze. Gesundheit.

More sitting

This is one of the many photos we took for Matilda's holiday pic. It's not the winner as we wanted to show what was on her onesie.

As you can see, she's covering up and chewing on the part we wanted to show.

New diaper

Time for a new diaper. And a new outfit.

Sometimes both Matt and I take photos of Matilda at the same time as she can be that cute.

I didn't know Matt was taking pics of me taking pics of Mati.

Babies are so cute from above. Here are a couple more pics that we took at Mati's pediatrician appointment.

4-month pediatrician appointment

Yesterday, Matilda had her 4-month pediatrician appointment. While waiting for the doctor, we listened to some music and took some photos. Thanks, iPhone.

Although we were a bit nervous for her next set of shots, she handled it like a champ. So much less traumatic than the 2-month shots.

Sitting Mati

Matilda now tries to sit up when in her rocker or car seat. She likes to lean forward from the reclined position.

Like all development, it's a work in progress as you can see by these pics.

Smile time

Not all smiles

When Matilda is not eating, sleeping, needing to be changed, stretching, or drooling, she sometimes cries.

Most of the time, she's all smiles.

She is also now giggling. We are trying to get her giggles on tape.

Stretch & drool

Mati's onesie says, "Sleep, Eat, Change Me." It should also say stretch and drool.

More moose

Matt likes moose.

Therefore, Mati likes moose.

Maybe.

Holiday party

Matt and I enjoyed a night out at his holiday party at the California Academy of Sciences. While I was busy eating, Matt was being stalked by a leopard.

Thanks to Auntie Tiff for taking care of Matilda.

4th birthday

Matilda celebrates her first four months of life by taking a stroll through the park and sucking on four fingers.

Single cappuccino

Matilda enjoyed a cappuccino this past weekend at the farmers market.

We much preferred her cappuccino heart to her previous heart.

Fatty Mati

Mati is gaining more weight, especially in her cheeks.

While sleeping on Matthew, you can see her chubby cheeks all squished up against him.

Big head and little arms

Couple things to note in this photo:

1. Matilda's wearing cute polka dot pants.
2. She likes the pic of the "smiling" dinosaur.
3. Like the dinosaur, Mati has "a big head and little arms."
   

Turkey day

Mati celebrates Thanksgiving by taking a nap before, rather than after, the feast.

Thanks to Chris for cooking up a delicious dinner.

I wish I had a pic of the turkey. Picture Chris holding the turkey instead of Matilda. They were close to the same size although I think the turkey was bigger.

Finally, Matt accomplished another Daddy duty by having the honor of carving the turkey. Mmmm...turkey.

Gobble, gobble

Matilda learns that cow doesn't taste as good as turkey on Thanksgiving.
Notice her face when she takes a bite and listen for the moo.

Boy or girl

Funny how blue identifies baby boys and pink baby girls.

Here Mati looks like a Matt in her blue onsie before changing to a girl with her stylish pink headband.

Pumpkin pie

On the way to the grocery store, Matilda was wide awake in her pumpkin hat.

On the way home, after buying the makings for pumpkin pie, Mati fell asleep.

While we wait

More from this week's visit at the pediatrician.

While waiting for the doctor, we taught Mati how to play a couple games. Matt seems to be winning the game, "Who can hold up their head the longest." Matilda is winning the game, "Pull my finger."

Big feet, little feet

Auntie Tiff showed Matilda what her feet would look like in twenty years.

Between now and then, that's a lot of shoes.

It's also many miles of running if Mati follows in her parents' footsteps and likes to run.
