With the leap year, I figured our due date was August 4. Our doctor doesn't seem to count the leap so she has us scheduled for August 5. Either way, the baby decides.
It's sort of like a volcano. We may know that she is going to erupt, although she decides on the date. And although we know she is coming, it is still an exciting surprise.
A couple months ago, Baby Smart experienced her first volcano during our babymoon in Hawaii. No explosion, just lots of VOG (volcanic smog). She also enjoyed her first helicopter ride from the safety of my belly.

Count down to baby's birthday
Basket of babies
Having taken our baby prep classes and practiced diapering, burping, swaddling, and breastfeeding with a basket of babies, we feel totally prepared. We are sure that our real daughter will appreciate our expertise.
She is lucky to have two Smart parents. Since she will also be Smart, we are sure that she will quickly learn to diaper, burp, and swaddle herself. We can't wait. Being new parents should be easy.
Building a baby
As I work on building the baby internally, Matt is prepping for the baby externally.
Cookies for me and crib building for Matt.

More Smart Stuff
As we build our Smart family, we hope to share More Smart Stuff with friends and family as well as the rest of the world--thanks, Internet.
Enjoy.
